Freewheelin' First Friday: Trailer Trash

TRAILER TRASH got its start as a regular attraction at Lee’s Liquor Lounge, in downtown Minneapolis.  With the popularity of retro-country music and swing-dancing in the mid-90s, the band found a following among new generations of music lovers. Trailer Trash is known for playing traditional country music, but they can swing, rock and groove in a wide variety of styles from the American hit parade

Now in its twenty-second year, the band has turned generations of music lovers on to its brand of American roots, country, swing and rockabilly. Their contagious enthusiasm and obvious enjoyment onstage have earned TRAILER TRASH the reputation of being Minnesota’s premier honky tonk band.

TRAILER TRASH enjoys its reputation as a fixture on the Twin Cities music scene. They have performed at Jesse Ventura’s Inaugural Ball at the Target Center and played the opening of the new Guthrie Theater. The band has provided the soundtrack to hundreds of Twin Cities courtships and wedding receptions. Somewhere in that time, the group racked up seven Minnesota Music Awards, appeared in two movies, (Herman USA and Dill Scallion) and put out six albums.

For the final show for the 2010 Americana Showcase at the Rochester Civic Theater in Rochester, MN the Twin Cities band "Trailer Trash" joined Brandon Sampson and Six Mile Grove to rock the house with an eclectic group of Christmas music and for the second year in a row had the audience up on their feet dancing.

Doors open at 8:00pm, show starts at 9:00pm, $5 cover.
