with guest vocalists
Aside from the reasons a band with “Wolverines” in its name is the perfect performance choice around Halloween, this jazz band also appeals directly to audience members. Consisting of drummer Jendeen Forberg, pianist Rick Carlson, and bassist Steve Pikal, the trio develops its set list from audience requests, making each show unpredictable and improvisational.
The musicians play a varied mix of soulful ballads, swinging jazz, and well-loved blues. Drawing diverse inspiration from bands and musicians such as Miles Davis, the Doors, Duke Ellington, and the Beatles, the Wolverines Jazz Trio is sure to keep the show interesting and drop in some wicked drum solos here and there.
